The Difference between Twin Flames and Soul Mates is something I am often asked about and here I will try to explain it.

Twin Flames and Soul Mates 

As a Psychic who has worked and travelelled  New Zealand for many years I am often asked about twin flames and soul mates. How cna I tell when I have met my soul mate? How can I tell the difference between Twin Flames and Soul Mates?

The answer is usually a feeling more than anything.

But usually soul mate connections are calmer and  a bit less intense than twin flame connections. 

But I want to be clear that both are as important as the other. Twin flames and soul mates are both important and we are not with our twin flame in every life time. 

What Is a Twin Flame?

A twin flame is a relationship between people who share passions and personality traits. These relationships are really powerful mirrors . They will reflect both the good an dthe bad traits back.

Sometimes a twin flame connection bonds best friends; but mostly , it can initiate a romantic relationship. Regardless of the relationship form, twin flame connections create  profound spiritual growth and might even put people on a new life path.

What Is a Soulmate?

A soulmate is someone with whom you share strong compatibility. Deep connections and a sense of really knowing each other , and while people often see soulmates through pop culture , soulmates can transcend much more than romantic love. It is possible that your true love, your spouse or romantic partner is your soulmate, but you can have another or a different soulmate, like a family member, best friend, mentor, or business partner.

Twin Flame Relationships

Twin flames are together through many lifetimes as they are from the same soul stream and vibration. Sometimes they incarnate together sometimes one supports the other from the spirit realm. They meet up to grow and show each other what there is still to learn by reflecting what is unhealed back to each other. Many think its a fairy tale but it can be tough and not always pleasant to be shown ones unhealed parts.

If both are conscious and aware this can evolve into a blissful union of mutual respect and love. But sometimes there are some challenges to face first. If it becomes too much for one partner they may bolt and escape form the energy. This happens quite often but also they will often be pulled together again. Sometimes the personality patterning from this lifetime like an abusive childhood can make it too difficult and they will part. The Difference between Twin Flames and Soul Mates is that soul mates are not as challenging as they are not as strong a mirror as a twin flame

This is not forever as the soul has forever to reconnect in spirit and other lifetimes. This does not mean that these people will be alone for the rest of their lives either as they have soulmates and other people they can build a life with and grow and have enduring and strong loves.

If very aware both will own their patterns and through excellent communication and love will build a true Twin Flame Bond which will allow them to affect and help others as well.

Soul Mate Relationships

Most people have more than one soul mate and meetings are pre arranged before this lifetime. They can be partners, friends, parents, children and also siblings. The Difference between Twin Flames and Soul Mates is that we can have more than one soul mate but only one twin flame

Some soul mates have some old karma to work through but the majority come into our lives to help us grow and wake up or bring us a message. There is often a feeling of having known each other for longer than we have and this is a soul level knowing. Sometimes a soul mate relationship is easier than a twin flame relationship and can be very close and loving.

Different Types of Soul Mates

Romantic Soul Mates: is the romantic kind that you aren’t meant to be with forever but that delivers strong lessons. These soul mates tend to be the most in influential teachers in our lives. They’re the ones that can be challenging but also very healing and teach us how to ask for what we need and to also be open and build our own self love.

The healing Soulmate: When you’re with the person you’re meant to be with, they don’t bring out your insecurities. They actually make them go away. They bring out the best in you, not the worst. You and your partner are both happy with your true selves, and together you make each other even happier. These often last a lifetime.

The platonic Soulmate or soul sister or brother:  Someone with whom you are always connected to and feel you can share your innermost thoughts and emotions. But there’s no romance and definitely We all have these good friends; in fact, most of us have experienced many of them in our lifetime. They’re the people who you haven’t seen or spoken to in weeks, months, or years, but whenever you do see or speak to each other, you pick up wherever you left off, as if neither of you had missed a beat.

So as you see there is someone for everyone and we have more than one opportunity to find love, friendship and  growth .
